Topic of discussion

We often wonder whether working at the agency is a suitable place for user experience designers. UX is of course more than just making beautiful websites. This time we were invited to host an event at PM, Poslovni mediji d.o.o., where their director of digital development (aka CTO) Urban Pfeifer will present how everything really starts and ends with design of the user experience. We will touch on topics such as the design of large-scale technical projects, how much technical knowledge UX-ers really need and why we are often project managers, designers and programmers - all in one person.

Urban Pfeifer

Urban is a programmer by trade, but his career path has also taken him into the waters of user experience design and leadership of design teams. He spent most of his career redesigning major online projects, both on the client's side and on the contractor's. Today, he manages team processes and relationships, spending a lot of time with user experience designers, user interface designers, programmers and project managers, supporting them in their work. For the last two years, he and his team have been refactoring large monolithic systems into microservice architecture with Netlify technology.
